He can even run and jump now. He turned one, and then went on to turn two. Many times he thinks he is a frog and ribbits around the house. He is putting together some short sentences like "I want more Word World Mommy." Word World is currently his cartoon of choice. If I would let him he would watch it all day. Many times when I turn it off, it results in him throwing a fit. He gets over it. </div><br /><br /><br /><div align="left"><br /><br /><br /><div align="center"><img id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5620749450272366002" style="DISPLAY: block; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; WIDTH: 320px; CURSOR: hand; HEIGHT: 214px; TEXT-ALIGN: center" alt="" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgcYfizh8JhAyqa9WK5EibD3Ho-1oTdUyAJ3jarXu1mZzfoF68y6q4CeIkdUHkARE_YVlnlyW574KbYULMelpOLUWeTT93sfCcvu5aRydZ7LbBljWeJoU9Qll4-9ipJwym8TtufaZJqbzQ/s320/502.JPG" border="0" /><br /><em>1st</em> <em>Birthday</em><br /></div><br /><div><br /></div><img id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5620746058971324338" style="DISPLAY: block; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; WIDTH: 320px; CURSOR: hand; HEIGHT: 214px; TEXT-ALIGN: center" alt="" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgGHD6yVT9scFA7j6VcsEWXd9xze9A_OzrQwAnX31XD5KQt7H6lc7emtSLW0O4HZsKOdGkDwW1sTm4qLHiW6cG9vlXgFahAUIWsjmUpSQtr_Q0ZxKeVu9u_vwSjK1fK-TgmKDlDtiIuw_E/s320/508.JPG" border="0" /><br /><br /><br /><br /><p align="center"><em>2nd Birthday</em><br /><br /><br />Also since our last post we have added a new member to the family. Sophia Grace entered this world on May 26th. We have really enjoyed her. She is sweet and her big brother says she is "coot"=cute. We are slowly adjusting to two children. We have had such great help. My mom came and stayed one week, then my sister came the next week. Brady has been going up to the farm on the weekends to stay with Grandma and Papa. We have also had several people bring us food, so we are truly blessed by all the extra help we have received. </p><br /><br /><br /><br /><br /><br /><div><img id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5620748211416502178" style="DISPLAY: block; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; WIDTH: 320px; CURSOR: hand; HEIGHT: 214px; TEXT-ALIGN: center" alt="" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjL_0pDR1xln2F0GmsrGswMw3wEXqz5iuuoR78SWVgRwD2Jj1n4Cx3zZ_M9t1lCqtitU-61PQPD60vd_-arsEMZO-RARFd6o9YSFZFqGBmxiPhilyWn0MM6OnvIutOQDdWu8izL31dzLwk/s320/20110530_173.JPG" border="0" /><img id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5620746064206121058" style="DISPLAY: block; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; WIDTH: 320px; CURSOR: hand; HEIGHT: 214px; TEXT-ALIGN: center" alt="" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhbZsvC8iHCGBdpMAhpufM5BVnqP0Wkogzcq1RHBDfnQYJX8EO2pWretb4vbWZFJ_cA8C6KOCRMTuXKIx9NSXGinDeeT8MLZd_t_-69NDaN9wOCGuiSwLoddjFC6ABLZ_WWiG_1KQvVaFE/s320/20110608_313.JPG" border="0" /></div></div><br /><br /><br /><p></p><br /><br /><br /><p><img id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5620748202285344706" style="DISPLAY: block; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; WIDTH: 214px; CURSOR: hand; HEIGHT: 320px; TEXT-ALIGN: center" alt="" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgDgvCEMGTLdZZQhlyCP5iuw70U_utcFAx2i4hXv-SzbQXaL2FTFQDKYrvF_Ssje6B6FUDvPdd6HXBk77DJD5kzhTL-v1Z9abPszFHfUYN6DxU5ewWhc-qzQhsThxVOFrvjyMDZpNIa3XY/s320/20110530_20.JPG" border="0" /></p><img id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5620748204368833794" style="DISPLAY: block; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; WIDTH: 320px; CURSOR: hand; HEIGHT: 214px; TEXT-ALIGN: center" alt="" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhZYinKIpe38xniN2agzRFZ5xwqQxUer63zTgjVCBzgJYYfQzhL3h3Nk9HJlHYB6z3sFJURlW1v72Nb93X7pdF4wvm4UIWrTbO1OFBkhmrLVaiaPgDBd5m9w9eNc_cz15XEZ6qGsFy0OBg/s320/20110530_165.JPG" border="0" /><br />I cannot promise to be the best blogger but I will try to update more than once a year. I assume you are the only ones who still check this blog! You would think we didn't have much going on or that Brady is not doing anything exciting since I never post anything. It is just the opposite. We have a had a lot going on and blogging just hasn't been on the radar. Brady is doing great. He is now 10 months old, almost 11 really. At last count he had at least 12 teeth that I can see. Yes that includes his one-year molars. Apparantly he is advanced when it comes to growing teeth. Who knew? He is also taking steps. He is not real confident yet, but will take a few steps at a time before sitting down and crawling...or just face planting. All-in-all things are going good around here. We are all just waiting on cousin Ty to get here to play with us. Brady did great at his 6 month check-up. There were tons of sick children there, but luckily he was all well. He took his shots like a champ while reading the book that the Dr. had given him. He was 19 1/2 pounds and 27 inches. He has really slowed down on his growth, but is still in the 75th percentile. He can sit up all by himself and is starting to crawl. He can army crawl just about anywhere he wants to go and is working on coordinating crawling on all fours. He still just has the four teeth, but I am guessing there are more on the way with the copious amounts of drool and chewing that are going on! He eats anything and everything but has become partial to applesauce. I just buy the big jar at the store and don't mess with buying babyfood applesauce. All-in-all he is doing great and we are having a lot of fun with him right now.<br /><br /></div><div>A couple of weekends ago we celebrated Brittany's birthday here in Abilene so most of our college group was in town. It was fun to see Brady and Crawford together, we missed Coleman though. Crawford was absolutely precious! It was also good to see everyone else. I have such a great group of friends. I have no idea what my life would possibly be like without them. Even when I am feeling aweful, they make me laugh. Thanks girls! </div><br /><br /><img id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5391376146730556146" style="DISPLAY: block; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; WIDTH: 320px; CURSOR: hand; HEIGHT: 214px; TEXT-ALIGN: center" alt="" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgYmJCRvuLn-kO65v3vhYlJ-R0hq4ao9zwJEP1X9f6Cve2gNiRnOmxDNdaecA-sU7M6TgkpyjJnq5cys1D9OFJmC7w2mmPA_fUfz7yl8KBEyozUeatucwlVRdXeteHtVy9zDF2vvSSSKeU/s320/005.JPG" border="0" /><br /><div>This past week we went to Houston for Texas Association of School Psychologists conference. I am on the board so I had to be there early to help get everything ready. Since Brady is not weaned, he got to come too. Lindsey came with us and was an absolute life saver. I really enjoy going to the conference every year, but when you are working it, it can be even more fun, but also more demanding and tiring. Ultimately we did have a great time. We used Brady behind the registration table at times so that people wouldn't get ugly. You can't be ugly around a baby. He was like our mascot for the week. We should have made him a TASP onesie. Ultimately it was Lindsey though that took care of him all week. I was only there for some feeding purposes. They had a good time, as always. She even got him and Ty(her baby boy to be) matching outfits. She is such a good aunt and will be an even better mom. </div><br /><div>Next week is ACU's homecoming, so there will be family in for that weekend. I myself will not be attending my club breakfast, but they are going to theirs. It is just too early for me to be social. We may take Brady to the parade though so maybe we will see some old friends there. </div><br /><br /><br /><div><img id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5391376137526855282" style="DISPLAY: block; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; WIDTH: 320px; CURSOR: hand; HEIGHT: 214px; TEXT-ALIGN: center" alt="" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjGlTnVGsVOQbjeABanKawR2utlyH8vFOd-BopKzMsrp-3dNWzDFoq6Aap91NjZN6IR6f3EI4wo8vQFVxjTC2yLHkgvTIljLf7W4PPnIOF5e9Z3CK6vncEU0PDzVyQzyi0rCxIboY73ahE/s320/002.JPG" border="0" /></div><br /><div align="center"><em>"Mom, Dad and I are talking right now. Before we went back to school though, we went on a shopping trip with Mom-mom and Aunt Lindsey. We had a lot of fun but we were all worn out. Everyone made out pretty well although Mom was worried that Brady only came back with three large bags of clothes! All day shopping trips are a little harder with a 4 month old, but Brady really did pretty well considering. <br /><br />Brady had his first day of school this past Monday. We were all up and ready to go and we were even on-time. Put that in the record book because it may very well be the last time. Daniel was home in the mornings most of the week and was a big help in getting Brady ready. When he is not around the help in the morning I do not know what we will do. He assures me that it will be ok, he apparently used to bottle feed 15 calves in the morning before he went to school...I assured him that Brady is surely more of a handful than 25 calves j/k. Brady did alright all week. He is not sleeping as much at daycare and is pretty worn out by the time we get home. I think being around the other babies has been good for him though, because he is interacting more and is already trying to crawl and scoot around like others in his class. The only bad thing about daycare, he already has his first snotty nose. No fever or anything like that, just very stopped up. I can't wait for cold season! I also did ok with Brady's first week at school. It helps that he is across the parking lot. I have already gone over and fed him and it was very convenient. I had to go feed him because I forgot his milk. I have a feeling that knocks me out of the running for mother-of-the-year. <br /><br />Anyway, work is going well for me. I really do enjoy my job and I am going to get to do some exciting things this year. Exciting for me, I am sure no one else will see it this way, but what can I say, I am a nerd. This should catch everyone up for now. I hope everyone had a great week!<br /><br />Oh I forgot, we started peas this week. Brady likes them but gets a funny look on his face when I switch him from cereal to peas, yet he still wants more of them. We will go onto butternut squash next. Stay tuned. <br /><br />I have pictures but blogger is hating me right now. I will try to post some later.caseyhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/00569335910614788535noreply@blogger.com2tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6145224540976898451.post-43092965639758813292009-07-27T13:50:00.002-05:002009-07-27T14:13:45.888-05:00Good weekend?<div align="center"> Hope everyone had a good weekend whether you were watching some TV<br /></div><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhe0A8NG1R9cpvQrTNTXKi_hVb0_0ovDJd03t0B0qsqocIa_XWI1DXrTWJBPuIGETOzrHXbW6TVirGMtjptQRpIB5cVo0j-6n4lnDQv8awBNxYztf6_WhSVpiqUHz5pKdX6Z-JS8tR8W0k/s1600-h/003.JPG"><img id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5363218346378755394" style="DISPLAY: block; The Dr told us that we could start playing around with food but that it would be more for our entertainment than for Brady's overall nutrition. It was pretty entertaining as Brady wanted to feed himself and literally tried to lick the bowl clean as we were finishing up. He ate all of it and appeared to like it. He is always interested in our food so I was not suprised when he went into eating head first. Also, as you can see from our Dr visit, the kid doesn't miss a meal. Overall the cereal was a success. We will see how the next few weeks go and decide if we want to start adding fruits and veggies. I am thinking about making some of my own baby food. Does anyone else out there reading do this? Who all thinks I am crazy? Probably the ones of you who think I am crazy for using cloth diapers...which is going pretty well by the way. The daycare even allows cloth diapers so that was good news. Also very good news, we got into a daycare starting when I go back to work and the daycare is right across the parking lot from my office. So, now we will try to enjoy our last week and half of summer. Daniel finishes school this week. Brady and I have a shopping trip planned with Mom-mom and Aunt Lindsey that we are all excited about. Hope everyone is having a great week! </div></div></div></div></div>caseyhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/00569335910614788535noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6145224540976898451.post-48051491481746084242009-07-20T16:37:00.006-05:002009-07-20T17:00:59.579-05:00just pics<div align="center"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhhZLIg-jiEGsfx6q1vU9nKZsS3IQrQs1C74issHJbXFpnG1MNyZg0Da9gY_dfZYD8EZu7yIt_JZ1kbFhMVrmNegpOoUxNKghebdO2mg3qFKglJGvqaUE7M3AoI-oU9gm9aUHMmHpDrSTQ/s1600-h/017.JPG"><img id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5360663625958757458" style="DISPLAY: block; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; WIDTH: 320px; CURSOR: hand; HEIGHT: 214px; TEXT-ALIGN: center" alt="" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhhZLIg-jiEGsfx6q1vU9nKZsS3IQrQs1C74issHJbXFpnG1MNyZg0Da9gY_dfZYD8EZu7yIt_JZ1kbFhMVrmNegpOoUxNKghebdO2mg3qFKglJGvqaUE7M3AoI-oU9gm9aUHMmHpDrSTQ/s320/017.JPG" border="0" /></a> What you lookin' at?</div><div align="center"><br /><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhV_yJ1jHAS-1gaENrgDRPm2oae9a_bRDk8foQQAOZ9wAVCVtzNsJpDZztSuT89kfgS7w0Pm0HOTeOAXiPr8f7VQMTVv8dLUPYvPnaSBm5z7hAzExOODhaDRqSBg19uBpN73wjNbW4IM5k/s1600-h/015.JPG"><img id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5360662261760631954" style="DISPLAY: block; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; WIDTH: 320px; CURSOR: hand; HEIGHT: 214px; TEXT-ALIGN: center" alt="" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhV_yJ1jHAS-1gaENrgDRPm2oae9a_bRDk8foQQAOZ9wAVCVtzNsJpDZztSuT89kfgS7w0Pm0HOTeOAXiPr8f7VQMTVv8dLUPYvPnaSBm5z7hAzExOODhaDRqSBg19uBpN73wjNbW4IM5k/s320/015.JPG" border="0" /></a> Hanging out with Dad<br /><br /><div><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEh78q0Mb93GfgDYAd63pzYHPOx4oFWjtEFLzX-2gKhtVel4hj8vMmpmgsIhJTS49G5upz2xVLZVewLQsZGhk3B8GNUUda4JLWokumr1sR8dy0YmtK53q3HPWJ81bTNzFfG6156fpa41XUA/s1600-h/002.JPG"><img id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5360660479036331154" style="DISPLAY: block; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; WIDTH: 320px; CURSOR: hand; HEIGHT: 214px; TEXT-ALIGN: center" alt="" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEh78q0Mb93GfgDYAd63pzYHPOx4oFWjtEFLzX-2gKhtVel4hj8vMmpmgsIhJTS49G5upz2xVLZVewLQsZGhk3B8GNUUda4JLWokumr1sR8dy0YmtK53q3HPWJ81bTNzFfG6156fpa41XUA/s320/002.JPG" border="0" /></a>Helping Dad with school<br /><br />All I can load for now...stay tuned for more<br /><div></div></div><br /></div>caseyhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/00569335910614788535noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6145224540976898451.post-3501639169135161942009-07-20T16:00:00.005-05:002009-07-20T16:28:55.612-05:00Doctor Doctor, give me the newsSo we went to the Dr today for Brady's 4 month check up. He is still big. 17lbs 25.5 inches. He got his shots so that was not much fun. It was also all during his morning nap time making our visit just that much more entertaining. Everyone got to hear Brady's screaming/yelling/crying while they got to hear me sing and talk to try to settle him down. He finally settled down just in time to get his shots, causing him to cry once again. As soon as we got in the car he was out. All in all the Dr said everything looked really well, normal development and all that. We are going to start some cereals this week but he said that he is getting plenty of food right now so no need to rush with solids.<br /><br /><br /><br />We went to the farm this weekend and got to see Aunt Mildred and cousin Pam. Mildred brought some old pictures of the Westmoreland's through the years. I now know what Daniel and Brady will look like from now until they are 90. Apparently the Westmoreland male gene is rather strong because they all look exactly alike. Luckily they all age really well :) The Westmorland's have been working that farm for over 100 years. Daniel is the 4th generation to be actively farming. It was really neat to see how they used to have to plow with horses and all the old tractors.<br /><br />I have pictures to post but blogger is hating me right now. Check back soon!caseyhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/00569335910614788535noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6145224540976898451.post-27573861684858281002009-07-15T14:22:00.003-05:002009-07-15T14:41:54.113-05:00Is it really the middle of July?<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhXcCNOTVVes-y3MF7hvfXAsBjMGOuGyP0VE4b28zgo4TpduvT7z_9cf8GiSZjCgkBGl24FSxOKZTXgXEyIL6oKz8fynkkpT8pJIPuocKyd94xkWghrfBI6OOj0D_v97JG7MvVLaMRWR2M/s1600-h/027.JPG"><img id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5358770882208920674" style="DISPLAY: block; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; WIDTH: 320px; CURSOR: hand; HEIGHT: 240px; TEXT-ALIGN: center" alt="" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhXcCNOTVVes-y3MF7hvfXAsBjMGOuGyP0VE4b28zgo4TpduvT7z_9cf8GiSZjCgkBGl24FSxOKZTXgXEyIL6oKz8fynkkpT8pJIPuocKyd94xkWghrfBI6OOj0D_v97JG7MvVLaMRWR2M/s320/027.JPG" border="0" /></a><br /><br /><div>Sorry all you faithful followers...all three of you! We have been on the road for the past couple of weeks and also had some very welcomed company. </div><div> </div><br /><div></div><br /><div>We went to the farm to help finish up wheat harvest a few weeks ago. Brady and I helped by staying out of the way and consequently, in the air conditioned house. The other grandchildren actually did go out and ride in the combines. Whether they were much help is uncertain, but all had a good time. </div><div><br /> </div><br /><div></div><br /><div>After that our dear friend Brittany came to stay for the week. We may have scared her out of ever having children. Although we wished that she still lived in Abilene, it was a lot of fun to have her here for the week. She even kept Brady one night while Daniel and I went to dinner. If you are ever in Abilene or Albany I highly recommend going to eat at the Beehive. It was soooo good, as always. Sorry Brittany that we weren't very good hosts. I promise to do better if you ever come back...please come back! </div><div> </div><br /><div></div><br /><div>We also went back out to Midland for my high school reunion. Brady and I went out little early so we could hang out by the pool and do a little shopping. Mom mom decided to give Brady swimming lessons. I am not sure he liked the part where she decided to hold his nose and put him under water. Now my mother has to be supervised when she wants to take Brady swimming, just kidding...kind of :) The reunion was nice. I was able to see some old friends. There were a lot of people that I really wanted to see that were not there. It was very interesting to see where people have ended up over the past years. I think that is all I will say about that. Brady also made his first appearance at Mom and Dad's church and was able to see some of our good friends. He was really tired and didn't make the best showing, but everyone loved him just the same. </div><div> </div><br /><div></div><br /><div>Sorry I do not have more pictures. Daniel has had the camera the past couple of weeks while he has been climbing and touring various wind farms in the area. We are borrowing my dad's fancy camera and think we have all the working parts now so that we can take some good pictures. </div><div> </div><br /><div></div><br /><div>Not much more time before I go back to work. Pray that we get our childcare situation all worked out. I know this was a boring post. I hope to have more and better things to write about to come. Happy Wednesday!</div>caseyhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/00569335910614788535noreply@blogger.com1tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6145224540976898451.post-10539470309063356002009-06-26T17:49:00.005-05:002009-06-26T17:58:36.101-05:00Blown Away<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEj9MdN_JlDHrn-1dyix-Jc8MOoiSl-8caRJjLbnTH2OiCOjcS43pxx2Ko07V5ht3fmbPAkNoIujTsjJn5BuS3KfFZCdyLbfjE6QJQsn-whBhmdv3wFMoQzNyIWiqMZnp3NzsFfEMmz1ggU/s1600-h/023.JPG"><img id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5351772979197418530" style="FLOAT: right; MARGIN: 0px 0px 10px 10px; WIDTH: 240px; CURSOR: hand; HEIGHT: 320px" alt="" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEj9MdN_JlDHrn-1dyix-Jc8MOoiSl-8caRJjLbnTH2OiCOjcS43pxx2Ko07V5ht3fmbPAkNoIujTsjJn5BuS3KfFZCdyLbfjE6QJQsn-whBhmdv3wFMoQzNyIWiqMZnp3NzsFfEMmz1ggU/s320/023.JPG" border="0" /></a><br /><div>Well I hope he doesn't blow away, although I worry at times. Yes, that is a picture of my husband 250 feet up in the air on top a wind turbine. He assures me that he is tied on to something so that he will not blow away. He had to climb a ladder to the top and of course loved it. He even bought a fanny pack that holds snacks and water bottles. He would have made a great boy scout seeing as he is always prepared. He is taking a course on wind energy and this was one of their field trips. Today they went out and saw some turbines that were even bigger. That is what he has been up to...literally. </div>caseyhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/00569335910614788535noreply@blogger.com1tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6145224540976898451.post-2505919429538549232009-06-23T17:59:00.005-05:002009-06-23T18:55:22.836-05:00And We're Back!<div><br /><br /><div><div align="center"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjXIS_EbqVFgvg6rDfaEHiHk4Sgmb2mHfpt_02kU5CDU4sUi4DTx8lX8X0bWWrwsZSR9nwbd9c59mVHzdpoRDIJtBz6H2787Py6Bxxj67I7y7Fsy8KvN2HCjgTH45lTGtsPg8fTegfdrZM/s1600-h/001.JPG"><img id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5350666487824270242" style="DISPLAY: block; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; WIDTH: 320px; CURSOR: hand; HEIGHT: 240px; TEXT-ALIGN: center" alt="" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjXIS_EbqVFgvg6rDfaEHiHk4Sgmb2mHfpt_02kU5CDU4sUi4DTx8lX8X0bWWrwsZSR9nwbd9c59mVHzdpoRDIJtBz6H2787Py6Bxxj67I7y7Fsy8KvN2HCjgTH45lTGtsPg8fTegfdrZM/s320/001.JPG" border="0" /></a><em> Look how strong I am</em><br /><br /><div>Whew...Brady and I have been on the road for the past week. Weekend before last we decided to take an impromptu trip to see Meme and go to my Great-Uncle Chester's 90th birthday party. While we were there we got to send some time with Aunt Brend, Uncle Frankie, cousin Brandon and his son Brayden. Try saying Brenda, Brandon, Brayden, Brady five times fast. No one was called the right name the entire day. Actually, when Aunt Mary came over to visit she decided to just call Brady by his middle name, Cole. If you know Aunt Mary you understand why she has the authority to do this. Then on Sunday we went to uncle Chester's party. While there we were able to meet up with several other sets of cousins that we usually only get to see at Easter every year, so it was good to see everyone. </div><img id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5350666498825078546" style="DISPLAY: block; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; WIDTH: 320px; CURSOR: hand; HEIGHT: 240px; TEXT-ALIGN: center" alt="" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjVOjGevFs8kpjIxrbIqJeI7SXXP710a17wfDORkOinpV03ztUOl7R0fh7_j3cV7Y2qQKuEaBqvI1oxZVJvEnGBoBnaZw1Wu_a_X2mxUEARHHwOB5XPtwsLcNNOnR2O64Nifo_1iKTvPmU/s320/016.JPG" border="0" /><em>Brady and Aunt Brend-yes I know we look just a like<br /></em><br /><br /><img id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5350674505651082962" style="DISPLAY: block; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; WIDTH: 320px; CURSOR: hand; HEIGHT: 240px; TEXT-ALIGN: center" alt="" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjilA8E92sCVFPTN4UisIoH_qkMmYA38CjO5xJERomF3k4-07VqCO9m3tIPdu178smVQwVQ6lo6JQZKnfIbFYkYjlOs2U2zaz8mfI1BIbdYIrI_K3fAEuiBUuj3HVmMDVSiP9JkRK-lltM/s320/019.JPG" border="0" /><em>More cousins at Uncle Chester's party. Notice the big kids in the back with no heads...sorry Christopher, Alex and Bennett<br /></em><div></div><br /><div>We got back home on Monday and I had to go back to work for a day to finish everything up for the year and Brady got to help. We then packed back up and headed to Midland to hang out with Mom-mom and Richard (we are still trying out some names for Dad). We only got to see Aunt Lindsey for a little bit since she and Travis were headed out of town for the weekend. I had planned to spend some time out by the pool, but of course it rained the whole time. The only time it rains in the desert is when I want to go hang out by the pool. The rain was good though, and we went shopping to fill the time. Mom-mom was a lot of help! Mom even through Brady a 3 month birthday party and invited some friends over for fajitas and cobbler. Why is the food always better when you go home? Dad also helped with the kids state fishing tournament this past weekend and has decided that when Brady turns three he will start fishing competitively and they will kick every one's rears. I do not doubt it! </div><br /><img id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5350674509644804898" style="DISPLAY: block; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; WIDTH: 320px; CURSOR: hand; HEIGHT: 240px; TEXT-ALIGN: center" alt="" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjQaDtzajGScLECMp2QfsmX9xD3LzQm_iMYYGFtlINCsJnH5CKU2rW6maZV95ipjVYKqOVBZicruuUDa_OFJSELrwG6tQNRJ3EfJujsVY8jaNhx3ynSN1YEJwUB9-PJO50ALOgCDHJGPFU/s320/028.JPG" border="0" /><em>mmm looks good enough to eat...or at least drool on</em><br /><br /><div>Brady also went to his first birthday party. It was a party for 5 of our friends, ranging in age from 7 to 1. I think it will be the only Texas Longhorn, rocket ship, butterfly,John Deere, and flamingo themed birthday party ever. It was a lot of fun and we were able to see some of our good friends and have lots of cake. Yes, there was a different cake for every theme! </div><br /><div>Now we are back home and Brady and I have been very busy around the house. I have gone through my closet and drawers, and now have a guest closet full of clothes to get rid of. I plan on packing all of Brady's clothes that he has grown out of into vacuum seal bags this week as well. He is already moving on out of his 6th month clothes and is headed full steam ahead into 9 moths. He is just too tall for his clothes...that and they don't always make the thigh holes big enough for a man of his stature :) </div><br /><div>Daniel is taking a course at TSTC to learn about wind turbines. He is really enjoying it and has something new to share with me every night. Besides that, we are just trying to get some things done around the house. Sometimes Brady is not the best helper, but we are trying to work around that. Hope everyone is having a great week!</div></div></div></div>caseyhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/00569335910614788535noreply@blogger.com2tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6145224540976898451.post-27022600502240746842009-06-10T17:34:00.003-05:002009-06-10T17:47:22.197-05:00A conversation with Brady<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgIirD7Ln2eZB3aFXArbbBwgSQcmHbMzim-WM6ikR_HVJHypvOcM1soVDk39YmKGFTHZcAijz2z7j1WQDRT2H9Vzud8JVxgFxF8Xfav_Dfll00lWWMy6Y8f2K1fJnnZ8htJyRs_X7M-ME8/s1600-h/050.JPG"><img id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5345834144859239778" style="DISPLAY: block; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; WIDTH: 240px; CURSOR: hand; HEIGHT: 320px; TEXT-ALIGN: center" alt="" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgIirD7Ln2eZB3aFXArbbBwgSQcmHbMzim-WM6ikR_HVJHypvOcM1soVDk39YmKGFTHZcAijz2z7j1WQDRT2H9Vzud8JVxgFxF8Xfav_Dfll00lWWMy6Y8f2K1fJnnZ8htJyRs_X7M-ME8/s320/050.JPG" border="0" /></a><br /><div>ME: hello baby</div><br /><div></div><br /><div><em>Brady: all smiles "hello mommy"</em></div><br /><div><em></em></div><br /><div>Me: Is it so hard being such a cute baby?</div><br /><div></div><br /><div><em>Brady: Mom, I'm a man</em></div><br /><div><em></em></div><br /><div>Me: kissing him all over</div><br /><div></div><br /><div><em>Brady: Mom, enough with the sugars, I am a man. That is right Brady rolled over this weekend while we were up at the farm. He does it all the time now, but sometimes he gets his arm stuck underneath him and he doesn't like that at all. He also tends to rub is face all into the ground and doesn't like that either, yet he continues to try and roll over anytime he is on the floor. </div><div align="center"> </div><img id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5345085717270313026" style="DISPLAY: block; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; WIDTH: 320px; CURSOR: hand; HEIGHT: 240px; TEXT-ALIGN: center" alt="" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgUrVJ3EH6kAoXFjFdSebhHzwOvvOvRc02mMpw_dg5E-K97S9ZyRD2SQNBlQrokckhGirr7Lg6WG3fo2rmoYCO8OUsvzJk2xwG0DiWIbX0SeTsJ_HVAuoCMlpJdRQKKVKz9q3oa0e_9DiU/s320/004.JPG" border="0" /> <p align="center"><em>face plant</em><br /></p><br /><br /><div align="center">We went to the farm this weekend and we brought rain with us. You would think that rain is good for farmers, but it is not good when they are trying to get their crop out. We did get to spend some time with the whole family though since they were rained out. Brady has become quite the mommas boy. And although I should be flattered that my child is attached to me, it is not nice when he will not let his grandparents hold him without throwing a fit. It is just poor manners. So, I do not know how, but we will be working on our manners this week. We have a party to go to in a couple of weeks and he is going to have to act better than he did this weekend, i mean, there are a lot of people that want to see him and hold him and it will be no fun if he is so grumpy about it. Overall we did have a great time hanging out with Grandma and Papaw as usual. I hope the weather cooperates for them this week. </div><div align="center"> </div><div align="center">That is all from here right now, have a good week!</div>caseyhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/00569335910614788535noreply@blogger.com1tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6145224540976898451.post-63681747628804361132009-06-04T17:07:00.003-05:002009-06-04T17:25:15.548-05:00Take your child to work dayI am fortunate enough to have a job that I can occasionally take Brady with me to work. The past couple of days have been those kind of days. My cubicle looked like babiesrus threw up in it will all the baby paraphernalia including: diaper bag, boppy, bumbo, sling, bouncer and various blankets. Who new something so small would need so much. For the record he does not need all these things, I do, to make sure he is happy throughout the day. At home we don't even use all this stuff during the day, but in a office full of people who are trying to work, the happier (and quieter) the baby, the better. Also, all the ladies at work love to hold him too, so do not worry, he is still getting plenty of attention. Heaven forbid he not be entertained and happy! So this is what Brady on the job looks like<br /><br /><br /><p><img id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5343599581318033522" style="DISPLAY: block; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; WIDTH: 320px; CURSOR: hand; HEIGHT: 240px; TEXT-ALIGN: center" alt="" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgBOeG_QOaqD65WhhzJ64vIhn-RZivfY6AduGxdd-Cw2L_Gu5f24NH8plg0eKZHlTIhycO4AxpwF1678LHYXaiyrMc4S3AXKAeYcw7bPoSHiontM53gqXRKbnX4r4LLUnG2lp9eSOSx32k/s320/002.JPG" border="0" />He is a regular ol' workin' man. He sat up beside me next to the computer and helped me write reports. He really was such a good boy the whole time. This afternoon he went to our friend Aunt Jessica's and tried to wear her out. He sometimes gets a little fussier in the afternoons so I think he showed her how good his lungs are for a little bit. Sorry Jess, I know you did great with him. </p><p>Harvest has begun so we will be up at the farm this weekend possibly. We are going to have to find a way to put a car seat in the combine...I think it will be good bonding for Daniel and Brady, we will see if they agree with me. Until harvest is done I am officially a harvest widow and Brady and I are on our own. We have had so much help this past month while I have been finishing up work. Aunt Lindsey was a real trooper and when she couldn't be here Mom mom filled in. I do not know how single mom's do this job, and twins would be a nightmare (no offense Katie)! Hope all is well. I am off to hold the baby now.<br /></p>caseyhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/00569335910614788535noreply@blogger.com4tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6145224540976898451.post-55753292151921296302009-05-31T11:01:00.000-05:002009-05-31T12:00:10.211-05:00He's a big ol' boy<div align="left">Well the Dr confirmed our thoughts, Brady is advanced. And when I mean advanced, I mean big and tall. He is in the 95th % for both height and weight. 14lbs 14 oz and 25in long. He is in 6 months clothes and only 2 months old. I am already considering getting a second job so we can save up extra money to feed him when he gets older! j/k Dr said everything looks good, good tone and head control and all that business. He also said there appears to be no problems with feeding or going back and forth from me to a bottle...obviously. He also got shots, yuck. I think Brady took it better than Daniel did. I had to hold the baby while he was getting shots. Daniel told the nurse he was a pansy...he said it, not me, and who am I to argue? All-in-all it was a success and we are already gearing up for the 4month check up where we will discuss food options, until then I am still the only meal ticket. <a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgDBENZsYjZ-nR-gnhvgz7ckm-GVaw5YWjKo0Ab7SaV064POqXfN1FMrLj9Mg6dURNu2hpas32JSGNqu0q6NBLq4XdR2-bgPZfyF9M6PI294G6f492p8w61rANatmKRsp59i8vS1en5wLk/s1600-h/028.JPG"><img id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5342025645401524338" style="FLOAT: right; MARGIN: 0px 0px 10px 10px; WIDTH: 237px; CURSOR: hand; HEIGHT: 286px" alt="" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgDBENZsYjZ-nR-gnhvgz7ckm-GVaw5YWjKo0Ab7SaV064POqXfN1FMrLj9Mg6dURNu2hpas32JSGNqu0q6NBLq4XdR2-bgPZfyF9M6PI294G6f492p8w61rANatmKRsp59i8vS1en5wLk/s320/028.JPG" border="0" /></a></div><div align="center"><div align="center"><br /><br /><br />Last Sunday I put Brady in his only pretty boy outfit for church, complete with a hat. Daniel was a little weary about it, but he was just so cute. We also decided to place membership and as a surprise to all of us, they took our picture for the directory. Needless to say, Daniel made me take off Brady's hat. He said of all the outfits Brady could have had his picture in, I chose the girliest one he had. I didn't know we were getting our picture made! And even if I did, I still think I would have chosen that outfit, he was just so sweet in it. </div><div align="left"><br /><br /><br />Moving on. So summer is almost here. I have a couple weeks left of work, but no more kids to see. We are going out to Midland a couple of times. Once for a birthday party and again for my reunion (I think). Besides that we don't have any other plans. Anyone else have anything fun they will get to do over the summer? I am also looking for babysitters so if anyone has any recommendations please let me know. </div><div align="left"> </div><div align="left">I guess that is all for now. I sometimes listen to a classic country AM station and today it played a Clay Walker song that was big when I was in JH. It made me feel a little old to hear it being considered "classic" country. Also, I just got my ten year HS reunion info in the mail and although it does not make me feel old neccissarily, I am just having a hard time believing it has been 10 years already. I am pretty sure I will attend but I am still up in the air. There are definitely some people that I would like to see but there are others that I am sure I don't even remember...and I only graduated with 100 people. Anyway, all is going well here. Tonight Brady has decided to poop and spit up on everything and everyone atleast twice an hour. His body is being an exit only place right now. That is not so good for those of us holding him and the furniture around us! We go to the Dr on Friday so stay tuned for his stats. I a guessing he is over 14 lbs and over 25 in long. Any other guesses? I hope to post some new pictures soon. Hope everyone is having a great week!caseyhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/00569335910614788535noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6145224540976898451.post-5281138598498734402009-05-14T19:16:00.000-05:002009-05-14T19:50:19.179-05:00Everybody Loves Brady!Everybody is the truth. Brady has seen so many people this past week and been held by so many people that I think he is not even sure who is mother is anymore...not really, how could he forget me? So, we started off this weekend by going to a shower for Jenni and baby Crawford. It was so much fun showering them with goodies and painting onesies for Crawford. All who know me know that I am like the anti-craft. I couldn't even write my name on the onesie, much less make some cute saying. After I finished my shirt for Crawford they said "Its ok, it looks like Crawford wrote it." Thanks! Anyway, everyone elses onesies were supercute so he is not lacking in things to wear. Over the weekend Brady met Brittany and Ryan, Matt and Jaime, Jenni and Nathan and Brandon and Heather. He also got to meet up with his good friends Jessica and Chad, and Katie, Donny, and his baby cohort Coleman. It was alot of fun to hang out and catch up with everyone. It has been nearly ten years since we have met each other and I hope we stay together for a lifetime.<br /><br /> People coming to see Brady did not end there. Today alone he has seen his Meme, his Richard (my dad, whose name is Gary...we can't decide on a grandad name), his Grandma, his aunt Amanda, cousins Jacob and Evan, and finally his aunt Lindsey. Needless to say, it has been a busy day!<br /><div align="center"><br /><div align="left"> It has been a lot of fun seeing everyone. This weekend maybe we can just hang out and recover from all the fun we have had this week. We will just see how that plays out. Overall things have been going fine here, nothing too exciting. Brady is getting huge. On the home scale he is tipping 14 lbs, and he is only 8 weeks old. He is fat and happy, at least for the most part. He is still working on sleeping through the night. He can do it, he is just not real consistent. He is in his own room now and that is working out fine. I guess that is all for now, so enjoy the pictures.</div><br /><br /><img id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5335845227178832882" style="DISPLAY: block; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; WIDTH: 320px; CURSOR: hand; HEIGHT: 240px; TEXT-ALIGN: center" alt="" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjzJWUK7nzqI3e9bs82Vu0dRZVfCxcU8zyfxqADLpW6t3E7DyvVxRbARl8W0zjsI1GG9VrDOUVtQNeA5E9tcU8ZGPId3S3DEyj5dAy2gkcpBI_QzTg_bE3ZtIrN-c4ZLILDYlIr3xFiIKo/s320/014.JPG" border="0" />Brady laughing with his Meme</div><div align="center"> </div><div align="center"><br /></div><div align="center"></div><p><img id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5335845221220812690" style="DISPLAY: block; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; WIDTH: 320px; CURSOR: hand; HEIGHT: 240px; TEXT-ALIGN: center" alt="" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEg9eSNVi5sdkHdvd675MTZytklUfNVXXxhx4rsWF_yQCx2HbsEJv6Jr53Og0AuqXppHWNG8QET4OLs6FGncGzlY-7CyLiCg6FqTTcjCMCtV26bMhD9A2y40wMLBSxRR80ZWhmZUFw0f690/s320/010.JPG" border="0" /><br /><br />The plate that Brady gave me with his footprint along with a book and movie for Mother's Day</p><p><br /><img id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5335845218353981394" style="DISPLAY: block; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; WIDTH: 240px; CURSOR: hand; HEIGHT: 320px; TEXT-ALIGN: center" alt="" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEizexdVkZk5YFwrs9R4xinoWEEhA5klsZUrqnrHkUs1kqJl3IemfrrEmr5pWdtShu1Cq1rZfElhyCzbcs-6o4VHwhukEbHEamLsJX1WXv31hdnxg6Cfof1hO1IA4hmuWL7UeGW1LQZ2QOE/s320/009.JPG" border="0" /></p><div align="center">A super sweet picture of both of my boys</div><div align="center"> </div><div align="center">Have a great Friday!</div>caseyhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/00569335910614788535noreply@blogger.com2tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6145224540976898451.post-31226715179537868692009-05-06T18:54:00.000-05:002009-05-06T19:25:26.364-05:00Here we go!You can all thank my sister for us joining the blog world. We shall see if it sticks once she leaves! So for those of you out there who find this, we just had a precious baby boy named Brady in March. He of course is the sweetest, smartest, most beautiful baby boy to ever grace the planet...that is until 3 in the morning when he grows horns and screams to be fed, changed and rocked. He definetly keeps us on our toes and lets us know who rules the kingdom. He really is a good baby and sleeps pretty well most if the time. His daddy is super proud of him and his mother is a pretty big fan herself. So hopefully I can keep you all updated about things going on in our lives through this blog, but don't get your hopes up. I am a terrible writer :) Now, on to some pictures<img id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5332870553939317650" style="DISPLAY: block; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; WIDTH: 320px; CURSOR: hand; HEIGHT: 240px; TEXT-ALIGN: center" alt="" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhIPM03EyeQvd4k5wB3kM-WxN01LkksOFdRmRhBJsfwAC0X6IE1HDZYPlzEoEEN3g5Fh118yOg5AWlJRkyr0pBXPRDtWMzlIowCol8WxDP4niyOcYC73U0sWV2wB8mLXMCkYiEJwR5MMz8/s320/168.JPG" border="0" /><img id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5332870558190310114" style="DISPLAY: block; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; WIDTH: 320px; CURSOR: hand; HEIGHT: 240px; TEXT-ALIGN: center" alt="" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEixZ07CZr-kxyE372uCf3BCcRw_BWZFLldVCUfHhFwlWVaDBU0mPgoGKs23nPxfCJ8uOAJoSSBf3Mfswl65_4SBkB_brZoX5f3RZlkWr6G89xFrrMzf0L6Ro0HlEjBDtE8rHiVtvfUpGO0/s320/075.JPG" border="0" /><img id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5332870564204517490" style="DISPLAY: block; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; WIDTH: 240px; CURSOR: hand; HEIGHT: 320px; TEXT-ALIGN: center" alt="" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjm15taLjEBQJRCPWrJOze5dfzvP-Fr1HsKloa3cpohJ-3IMlW3Grlj1slPSYaXukC0lJnmHHayCWqTH_rwRgkM-p3ZN6_CKc7jbkRfw610nN_KwkMHIUd6X5DgGCLUfg8KRgksRESqnyk/s320/143.JPG" border="0" /><img id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5332870568519155394" style="DISPLAY: block; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; WIDTH: 240px; CURSOR: hand; HEIGHT: 320px; TEXT-ALIGN: center" alt="" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgUPnidT0Dhk2MGJGfzgtNbswGVf1w506DMuf2T6PUMtAhRulrRxPbN1dQp6CZLCQAdsk40deUJnDUfLb0NTmzgVZVWVGm59IinFZdiQWp7hBGRdIdabBXQ05LrEFOSGnIWrzCavfnDtxU/s320/145.JPG" border="0" /><br /><div align="center">And just because I thought it was funny, our last picture-<br /></div><img id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5332870570855990146" style="DISPLAY: block; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; WIDTH: 240px; CURSOR: hand; HEIGHT: 320px; TEXT-ALIGN: center" alt="" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiq3W8wGISUUVALA8N6DvmivDLNBpVeUhU4VHfyOPaKjErAcWKLZDYIy_C0MdLsLr1m0b6MPtmr7cXEwbSDxE_ku4K4zFr1Ex_uTJih6WIFVAz81FWC-5pxJe7Zwx2U5rcxljP4graaa7U/s320/152.JPG" border="0" /><br /><br />Hope you are all having a great week!<br /><br /><div></div>caseyhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/00569335910614788535noreply@blogger.com5
